A retrospect design will be used for this study to include the retrospective hospital chart review of subjects. Charts from local hospitals who provide services to the general public, will provide a convenience sample of 40 manful and female subjects. These charts will be reviewed to obtain data regarding heart rate and blood pressure measurements in response to intravenous and topical administration of lidocaine during laryngoscopy and intubation.
