American History X teaches us all about what detest and racial thought can do to many population because it gets you nowhere in ball club, it will only get you locked up like it did too Derek for sh like a nut, so that is what I guess landed him in jail. I hated to see where the black kids in the bathroom in the beginning of the contract start picking on and beating up on the white kids, and I especially hated to see Danny getting shot to death in the end of this movie and was for no reason at all, since it just brings hate to both sides.

During the movie Derek had a flashback when he was in a courtyard in Venice beach watching a basketball game go on with his friends and one of his skinhead buddies got into an argument with the blacks on the court so decided to place a bet on the opposite team, the bet was if the whites win you will no longer playfulness in their courts and if the blacks win same thing so the deal also showed segregation within race. American History X ending had a strong message saying that hate is not al expressive styles going to be the right way to resolve issues you have with anybody.   Although this film is somewhat controversial and considered as racist by some people, I personally weigh that its a very strong and important film because it does discover the truth about how some parts of society operate.
