The life of Voltaire was not always so easy and he went through major changes in his philosophical system over time. He grew up studying, ironically, in a Jesuitical run boarding school only to later resurrect against his fathers efforts to turn him into a lawyer (Gordon 1). He soon started to turn against his origins with the Jesuits and in the early 1720s he tranquil poems pom-poming Christianity and the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church (Gordon 1).
