ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Double diligent is a medium-size convenience repositing with branches at 5 pickles in College Station. Currently Double Quick employs 2 sales persons at each fund location to operate the Point-Of-Sales (POS) dodge and manage the document. The employee manually reconciles the sales and shipments with the scrutinise at the end of each day. The inventory is replenished on a weekly basis based on a manual report passed on by the employee to the store manager.

The purpose of our project would be the design, implementation and support of an automate inventory management strategy at Double Quick. .
The store manager realized that the manual exploit is slow and delusion prone. He would like an automated inventory management process which would provide the true and accurate picture of the inventory in real-time, helping in reducing holding costs and discriminating the losses due to order of battles arising out of mistaken anticipation of demand.

SCOPE STATEMENT

Our project would implement an information system capable of automating the inventory management for Double Quick. The system leave be integrated with the existing POS system and update the inventory level in real-time. At the end of each day, the system would generate an inventory status report along with a purchase order for the products with inventory level below the prophylactic stock and send it to the store manager.
