I know person anyy, I take great pride in everything I do. Anyone who has ever written a paper, sang a song, run a race or anything of the sort knows that when you be finally finished, your accomplishment feels so much more significant if you really gave your all. Conversely, a loss, taken in pride forever and a day trumps a win taken bitterly. Every time I do any schoolwork, or write an essay, much the likes of this one, I make sure Ive put in my best effort. The most rewarding part about place your all into everything, and taking pride in your work, is that the judgment of others doesnt seem to mean as much, because you know that you gave it all you could. more often than not though, your true personal best is all anyone expects, whether it is from a boss, teacher or coach.
One document I believe showcases pride in American history is The contract bridge of Independence, primarily written by Thomas Jefferson and adopted in 1776.

This document embodied everything America had built up until that point. (Infrastructure, giving medication systems, etc.) The citizens had worked hard to prove to its mother country that they could be independent. No longer would the Americans be oppressed, but rather proud of what they had accomplished. As Jefferson wrote each eloquent word, its apparent that he was proud of what his cuss Americans had accomplished.
Fitting with The Declaration of Independence, I chose Thomas Jefferson as my historic figure. I believe he embodies all that pride is, from his immunity competitiveness, right down to his appearance.
