After the Civil war caned in 1865, things were not looking very bright for the south-central. Their entire southern bureau of life was destroyed and life as they knew it would never be the same. But during the terminus of President Lincoln, the reconstructive memory period began and he conceived a plan that would grant amnesty and pardons for the citizens of the Confederate States. The lists of achievements during the Reconstruction Era are numerous. For one the black slave population was at last free from slavery and they began to obtain more rights. The creation of the freedwomans Bureau help the blacks in finding them rubber for after the war. The Freedmans Bureau also assisted in some way to help educate blacks during the cartridge clip period.



They would come down from the North and live in the South for a certain period of time so that they could be available to the blacks who were willing to learn and suffice school. in addition during Reconstruction blacks began to get more say in the government. They began to hold a large part in Congress and they also began to attend political conventions regularly. For blacks this was a huge advantage and achievement because of Reconstruction. Also the creation of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments were also great achievements.
