Fourteen crosses are stationed up the mountain to the statue depicting Christ carrying the Cross to his crucifixion. Believers demand and worship Christ as they travel up to the top of the mountain.



Statues of some saints and the Virgin Mary are also laid on the trail to the Cristo Rey monument. People also pray to the saints and worship the Virgin Mary. Offerings such as flowers or plants are taken to the Virgin Mary statues. Candles are lit and offered to Christ on a designated space in front of the monument.
