The fly The story takes place in an role in Britain after WW1, in this short story we are dealing with two different characters, a man called the boss and cypher more, and Mr Woodifield a former employee in the Bosses firm, they are elderly workforce and are both dealing with personal problems, they lost their sons in WW1, and we havent got the knowledge, if they were serving together ore not, but they were both buried in Belgium.

At first we se the meeting of the 2 former soldier bodies, after that we are introduced to the interior the furnitures and the decoration of the character, the way the office are described its real overwhelming with this huge desk and a very large and comfortable green armchair, where the writers use the artistic style ass a baby looks out of its pram where he clearly feels superior and are very comfortable in his environment.
he really likes being complemented on his success which is reflected in the office. You can really feel that very formal conversancy there is between them but that was normal at those time when you werent on familiar terms.

After Mr. woodified have complemented the bosses office they starts chitchatting a bit were Mr. woddifield lead their conversation into, Mr.

Where Mr.Woodifield have been dealing with his sons death in the war off course he still pressured emotionally of his sons dead but at least in a state of mind where he is able to talk about it, he have a family, which can help him ramp up his grief.
