Analysis: This quote is very significant and it was meant to be recognized because it was the first line of the book. The idea of this quote in my opinion has to do with a single man cannot be happy being overwhelmed with so much wealth without having a companion to sh ar it with. The same concept goes to women but relates more than to modern times then the book in particular. homo werent meant to be alone and that is why riches wont give you the satisfaction as a attendant could ever give.

Analysis: This quote is in the view of Ms. Elizabeth Bennet, which explains that as life goes on there seems to be always something going wrong and somebody being cruel.
She expresses the universal theme that everyone in the world experiences. From a child to a young adult to an adult to a senior, things become more difficult and cruel as it may seem. However, through this there are always those people that are good to you and treat you with love, those are the ones to stay close to.
