Reflection Paper #2: Giving and Receiving Criticism

I dead respond differently inwards than I do kayoedwards to criticism. On the outside I act exchangeable I dont care what other people regularise or think nigh me. On the inside, however, criticism does hustle me especi totallyy when it comes from someone I am close too. I catch myself replaying their criticisms over and over again in my head.

Who the person is definitely influences how I receive criticism. I care a lot more how someone I love and am close to views me than some queer base on balls down the street.

A stranger great deal walk up to me and say I dont like that apparel on you and I can save go about my day, and forget they even said anything about it. My girlfriend or mom can say the ingest same thing, and I testament immediately take the shirt off and never wear it again. I know that my love ones have pure intentions and I value their opinions a good deal more. The stranger could just be jealous or just be having a bad day and want to take it out on me; life is oft too short to flummox about what e reallyone thinks about me.

I would like to think I do non give much criticism, but my girlfriend complains everyday that I am much too critical of her. Im sure she is right, I try not to though. I give criticism very bluntly, and dont think about what I am saying until Ive already said it most of the time.

Honestly no I am not effective, because, as a man, I have a troublesome time knowing exactly why I am feeling the way I am feeling. I will be mad that my girlfriend has to work all night, and I miss her, but I will tell her I am mad because I have to do all the laundry while she is at work. Instead of just creation honest about what is actually bothering me about something someone is doing, I will just lash out at them.
